Delete your LimitBeep data

You can delete your anonymous account and everything stored with it at any time, in the app or by email.

Delete your data in the app

  1. Open LimitBeep and tap Privacy Policy, the link at the bottom of the home screen.
  2. Tap Delete my data.

This deletes your anonymous account and everything our server stores with it.

Or ask us by email

LimitBeep never asks for your name or email, so we identify your account by its anonymous ID.

  1. On the app’s Privacy Policy screen, scroll to Your anonymous ID and tap Copy ID.
  2. Email info@sarafandtech.com with the subject Delete my data, and paste your ID into the message.

Email a deletion request

We delete your account and everything stored with it within 30 days, and confirm by email.

Copy your ID before you delete the app. Deleting the app and installing it again normally creates a new, unrelated ID.

Unused accounts

An anonymous account with no active subscription that hasn’t been used for 18 months is deleted automatically, with everything stored with it on our server.

What is stored with your account

  • Trial and subscription status, with the purchase, renewal and cancellation notices the store sends.
  • Your consent records: the date you agreed to background location use, and the version of the Terms of Service you accepted when you subscribed.
  • App version, whether your phone is an iPhone or Android, and when the app last checked in.
  • Your location permission setting, such as “Always” or “While using”. The setting, not your location.
  • Daily driving totals: miles and minutes driven, how many limits were looked up, and how many times you went over. No places and no times of day.
  • The monthly number of speed-limit requests sent to our map provider, for the fair-use limit. No locations and no lookup times.
  • Your sign-in session (IP address and app version), held by our sign-in provider for security.
  • On iPhone, which of our Apple Ads campaigns, if any, led to your install. RevenueCat holds this with your ID.

What isn’t linked to you

  • The shared speed-limit cache holds positions and road sections with no account ID, so it can’t be traced to you. Each entry is deleted within 30 days of when its speed limit was fetched.
  • A 90-day log of lookups (when, whether the cache answered and how long it took) has no speed limit, no location and no account ID.
  • A store notice that arrives after your data is deleted, such as a refund, is kept without your ID.
  • Your settings on your phone are removed when you delete the app.

Deleting your data doesn’t cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store first: on iPhone in Apple ID → Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Here’s how.

For your other privacy rights, such as access or correction, and the full details of what we store, see the Privacy Policy.
