How can we help?
Answers to common questions, help with Premium, and a direct line to us. We usually reply within 1–2 business days.
Restore Premium
Premium is a one-time purchase tied to your Apple ID or Google account. On a new or reset phone, sign in to the same store account, open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. It’s also on the Premium screen.
Refunds
Apple and Google process all purchases, so refunds are requested from them under their own policies. We can’t issue refunds for store purchases. On iPhone, use reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, open your order history in Google Play.
Report a problem with a question
Think an answer or explanation is wrong? On any question, tap Report a problem with this question. Your email app opens with the question’s details filled in; add what you noticed and send it. If there’s no email app on your phone, the report is copied so you can paste it into an email to us.
Reset your progress
Open Settings and tap Reset All Progress. It deletes your answers, bookmarks, notes, flashcard schedules, session history and streak, and can’t be undone. Your first name, exam date and Premium stay. To remove everything, delete the app.
Common questions
Studying
What does “mastered” mean?
A question counts as mastered once you’ve answered it correctly twice. The Analysis tab shows what you’ve mastered, what you’re still learning and what you haven’t seen yet.
How is each mock exam put together?
It takes 25 questions from each of Core, Type I, Type II and Type III, favoring the ones you’ve seen least, and shuffles them into 100 questions on a 2-hour clock. Like the real exam, it doesn’t tell you right or wrong as you answer; the results show your score for each section and every question you missed. If you leave partway through, you can resume where you stopped.
How do the flashcards decide what to show?
They use the SM-2 spaced-repetition method. Each day’s deck starts with the cards that are due, most overdue first, plus up to 10 new ones. Flip a card, then tap Knew it or Didn’t know (or swipe right or left), and the app schedules its next review.
What does the readiness score mean?
It’s an estimate based on your practice results, to help you decide what to study next. It can’t predict or guarantee your result on the real exam.
Can it remind me to study?
Yes. Turn on study reminders in Settings and pick a time for the daily one. If you’ve set an exam date, you’ll also get one the evening before. Your phone schedules reminders itself, so nothing is sent to us, and the app never sends marketing notifications.
What happens after my exam date?
The app asks how it went, once a day for up to three days. Tell it you passed and the countdown switches off, and you can share a picture of your result. Not this time? It shows your two weakest sections and starts a session in the weakest. If your date changed, enter the new one and the countdown restarts. Your answer stays on your phone.
Is there a home-screen widget?
Yes, on iPhone and Android. It shows your study streak and the countdown to your exam date, and updates after midnight. On iPhone there are small and medium Home Screen widgets, plus two Lock Screen widgets on iOS 16 or later.
The exam
How is the EPA 608 exam structured?
Four sections, Core, Type I, Type II and Type III, with 25 questions each. You need 70% in a section to pass it, and passing all four makes you certified Universal.
Where do I take the exam?
Open Where to Take the Exam on the Practice tab (it’s also in Settings → Study Plan). It explains the exam format, EPA’s list of approved certification programs, and your options for testing online or in person. The app itself doesn’t give the exam or certify you.
Is the content up to date?
The question bank has been updated for the 2026 exam revision, which adds A2L refrigerants and moves examples to R-32 and R-454B. Regulations and exam content change, so if something looks wrong, please report it from the question.
Is it affiliated with the EPA? Will it certify me?
No to both. EPA 608 Mastery Pro is an independent study aid, not affiliated with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or any certifying organization. You take the exam through an EPA-approved certifying organization; the app helps you prepare but can’t guarantee a pass.
Premium & purchases
What’s free, and what does Premium add?
Free includes 200 practice questions (50 from each section) with explanations, one full mock exam, the complete reference library, search, bookmarks, notes, progress tracking, streaks and reminders. Premium adds the full question bank of more than 1,100 questions, unlimited mock exams, Custom Quiz, Weakest Subjects and the flashcards.
Is Premium a subscription?
No. It’s a single purchase through the App Store or Google Play. There’s nothing to cancel and no renewal.
Can I move Premium between iPhone and Android?
No. A purchase belongs to the store you bought it from and can’t be moved between Apple and Google. You can restore it on any device signed in to the same store account.
Your data & devices
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Every question, flashcard and reference table is built into the app. It only goes online for purchases and, on iPhone and iPad, to tell us whether one of our App Store ads led to your download.
Will my progress move to a new phone?
Your study progress is stored only on your phone. We don’t receive it or sync it. Your phone’s own backup, such as iCloud Backup or Google’s Android backup, may include it, depending on your settings. Premium can always be restored with Restore Purchases.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, and Android phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or later.
How do I delete my data?
Your study data stays on your phone, so you can delete it yourself. We can also delete your purchase records. The steps are on Delete your data.
