Questions technicians ask.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Every question, flashcard and reference table is built into the app, so you can study in a basement, a van or a crawlspace. It only goes online for purchases and, on iPhone and iPad, to tell us whether one of our App Store ads led to your download.
Is it up to date for the current exam?
The question bank has been updated for the 2026 exam revision, which adds A2L refrigerants and moves examples to R-32 and R-454B. If you spot something wrong, tap “Report a problem with this question” and tell us.
What do I get for free?
200 practice questions (50 from each section) with explanations, one full mock exam, the complete reference library, progress tracking, streaks and daily reminders.
Is Premium a subscription?
No. Premium is a single purchase through the App Store or Google Play. It unlocks the full bank of more than 1,100 questions, unlimited mock exams, Custom Quiz, Weakest Subjects and the flashcards.
Is the mock exam like the real one?
It follows the same structure: 25 questions from each of Core, Type I, Type II and Type III, 100 in all, on a 2-hour clock, scored against the 70% pass mark. Like the real exam, it doesn’t tell you right or wrong as you go; your results show your score for each section and every question you missed. Each mock favors the questions you’ve seen least.
Is it affiliated with the EPA? Will it certify me?
No to both. EPA 608 Mastery Pro is an independent study aid. You take the exam through an EPA-approved certifying organization; the app helps you prepare but can’t guarantee a pass.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 15 or later, and Android phones and tablets with Android 7.0 or later.
